There's never been a better time to create
the world is burning // the world is thriving
This last Sunday morning, I was sat on my sofa, enjoying a freshly brewed coffee courtesy of my housemate, when I started thumbing through the mountain of unread email.
One little gem stood out. A total stranger, on the other side of the world, had discovered the Tonk developer tool, recorded a 7-minute video of them using it, along with live feedback on each step of the developer journey, and emailed me a comprehensive review.
I was so delighted. So delighted! Almost as much as Goblin Oats & Jack, who got stuck in hours later implementing fixes and new features.
Barely a month has passed since we started building our tool for "creating your own little internet", but the ecosystem is already humming into life. And we've got:
New community members every day, from all over the planet
New apps being built on the network
A university collaboration in the works
A hackathon coming up in a few weeks
An artist-technologist event around the corner
Product-Market Fit soonâ„¢
So - I am searching for outstanding programmers to grow the team at Tonk, help us take a next-gen developer tool to market, and achieve our vision of building a new internet (yes, really).
Right now I can say (with no small amount of patriotic pride) that we've managed to exclusively reverse-brain-drain from the USA. C'mon London, where are you at?
